As a former staffer, hard not to feel unduly jaded at this con but positive I can give better panel than this.
There’s a reason why I only ever went to actor panels after that first year.
I have a low tolerance for the crowds involved with actor or media panels. It was slowly getting better when I left, had to step out to meet a friend for lunch.
Generally at a con, fun or work, I get as much if not more out of the sidebar conversations than I do from panels.
Indeed but I feel like I need at least a skeletal plan of programmed stuff to attend. Doesn’t help that all the places to just stop and sit are constantly occupied.
Which hotel are you in? The Hilton pool is always dead and because it’s a few floors up, has a nice breeze. I used to spend a few hours there, reading, over the course of the weekend.
The Hilton so that’s a good suggestion.
