Read any of Terry Mixon’s new space opera?
Nope. Any comparisons that might help figure if I’d like them?
have you read The Mars Trilogy?
I don’t read much space opera so I can’t draw any relevant comparisons, but I enjoyed the heck out of the first book and it’s got 85 reviews and is averaging 4.5 stars. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/reviews/0692268693/ref=cm_cr_dp_aw_see_rcnt?ie=UTF8&s=
The “In Her Name” series by Michael R. Hicks.
Loved that book. Have you finished Seveneves?
Yep. Actually enjoyed The Martian more.
Kim Stanley Robinson, Neal Stephenson both have new. Stephen Baxter has some reprints. Anne Leckie’s trilogy?
How about short stories: @JonathanStrahan has been doing fantastic stuff with his “Infinity” series of anthologies.
And I can //cough// also recommend Honor Harrington (being the @BureauNine behind the scenes online guy).
Quantum Thief?
Already read the whole series. Loved them.
Fantasy rather than scifi, but how about The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms (or really anything by N.K. Jemisin)?
You’ve mentioned those before, could be time to finally give them a go.
You would also probably really like the Kingkiller Chronicles. There’s a strong magic-as-engineering theme.
