Preparing to bottle batch 37, my wee heavy, Pirate King.
While the stout ferments then ages, spices will infuse in local, over proof rum.
Seeing happy yeast the morning after brew day never gets old.
Chiller connected and running. May still need a little tweaking.
Tired after setting up a new chiller for the home brewery, supply run for next brew day, and bottling some of 1 of 2 recent batches.
Relieved to find my problem keg holding pressure this AM. Problem was a gasket in the PRV, had popped loose during kegging.
Did an emergency CO2 tank fill before work. Tightened everything on the suspect keg, fingers crossed.
TFW you go to pour a beer off your kegerator to find it flat. New keg must not have been seated so didn’t seal, out gassing overnight.
TFW you realize, late a night, too late before brew day, that you forgot an ingredient with no time left to procure it.
