A bit darker than the style guidelines, otherwise very happy with this batch. Super easy drinking with a wonderful flavor owing to the @marylandmalt malt.

Finishing
Finishing the cellar work I started yesterday before taking a break to share beers and meet a good friend’s new puppy. Now on tap, my Munich helles style lager, Testimony of Few.
Stratified
I don’t think I’ve seen that before, the wort in the sight glass stratifying. The pre-boil volume is high, 9 gallons in a 10 gallon kettle. That is enough to cover both inlets to the glass, maybe that’s why.
Color
I make some very pale beers that I am proud of, in particular my cream ale and kolsch style ale. However I really love beers with a bit more color to them. Pretty happy with how this one is turning out.
Half
Halfway through the brew day and so far everything is going smoothly. The wort sample tastes fantastic. Slainte!
Brew
Brew day has started in earnest. Just about ready to mash in. Making a Munich helles. Brewed this recipe last Summer for @marylandmalt, this batch is destined for my own taps. I don’t usually make lagers but love this recipe.
Done
Kegs are cleaned, sanitized and CO2 purged, ready for kegging day next weekend.
Kegs
Cleaning and preparing kegs today. Next weekend I will keg my Munich Helles and my English IPA.
